“What was a nice surprise when I first heard about The Choice is the amount and variety of events there is every month. It’s easy to pick one event that fits who you are and what you feel comfortable with. I personally chose speed dating and believe it or not it’s actually a lot of fun! If you would have told me that a couple of months ago, I wouldn’t have believed you. But it’s just a matter of going past those nerve-racking first five minutes and then it’s all about discovering people.

I did find the hosts at The Choice to be dynamic, friendly, organized, very supportive and not intrusive. The venue was nice and there was good food and wine to take the edge off. “I’d heard the stories on speed dating, and decided I’d have to give it a go, but couldn’t find one for my age group, till now. It was an enjoyable night, despite the initial butterflies. I didn’t get lucky but I did enjoy myself and the people I met, and most of us went off to mingle afterwards. The venue was great and the hosts friendly.
